We’re all doing the best we can as individuals to make a difference, but how can your business do the same - or even more? Here are our top five tips on how you can make social action a part of your business.

1. Nominate - suggest a team member as a voice for social action to be your social responsibility lead, who is responsible for organising, managing and driving engagement. They can help organise clean-ups and keep an eye out for other activities you can get involved in. Make sure they contact us so we can keep them updated.

2. Educate - provide social action education through your business via internal comms, newsletters, workshops and talks. We have access to lots of resources to help you so just let us know what you need.

3. Outreach - your business could support existing external projects: sponsor events
outside, maybe a clean-up. Working together with other organisations you can more than double your success.

4. Analyse - hold regular meetings to discuss progress, outcomes and ideas for building on your success, produce audits that can show staff, customers and stakeholders how you are doing.

5. Pledge - sign the SME Commitment here - https://smeclimatehub.org/sme-climate- commitment/ Join all the other businesses of all sizes around the UK who are committing to do their bit to cut carbon emissions and protect the planet. The UK government has partnered with business owners and respected climate groups, so join them today.

As always, let us know how you are getting on and tell us how we can help you be more socially active in your business.
